As I reflect on the present moment, I’m filled with gratitude for the journey I’m on. While it’s true that we often look back on our life with a sense of nostalgia, remembering the days when our concerns were solely our own, it’s important to recognize the growth and fulfillment that comes with new responsibilities.
For new moms, remembering the times when you could take leisurely showers without a care in the world, or drive without glancing into the backseat every few seconds? How about the days when carrying only your essentials seemed sufficient? Those moments, though cherished, pale in comparison to the rewarding experience of nurturing others.
The daily sacrifices moms make—sleepless nights, endless laundry, extra cleaning, and meal planning—were once unimaginable, yet you rise to the occasion. It’s incredible how instinctively moms know when something is amiss and exactly what is needed.
To all the moms dedicating their lives to the care and love of their families, I extend my encouragement and support. Your selflessness, immense love, and unwavering dedication are truly commendable.
Often, those who give the most are the last to take care of themselves. Yet, maintaining a balanced and healthy nervous system is crucial, not just for our well-being but for those we care for. Our bodies are equipped with mirror neurons that reflect the emotional states of those around us, especially our children. When we manage our stress and anxiety, we create a calming environment for them.
